The Kuandu International Animation Festival (KDIAF) was established in 2011 and nowadays is one of the most important animation film festivals in Taipei. It is organized by the Taipei National University of the Arts, surrounded by the Kuandu Plain, a landscape rich in culture, arts, and humanities.
The festival is a non-profit organization; its intention is to establish an international exchange platform for animation enthusiasts. In order to cultivate an international perspective, hundreds of outstanding international animation films are selected through contests, so as to expand international cultural exchanges. Like on previous occasions, this year the KDIAF will continue to hold the following activities: international master lectures, animation industry lectures, animation workshops, children's animation camps, and creative art marketplaces. We hope the exchanges between the activities will give fresh impetus to animation creation and the digital culture industry in Taiwan.
