Niu Jun Qiang holds an MFA in New Media Art from Taipei National University of the Arts. He currently lives and works in Taipei and as a professional artist.
Most of Niu's recent works are inspired by life experiences, focusing on co-creating narratives with his participants. During the creative process, he explores the delicate relationships between people, attempting to represent awareness of life from the individual to the collective through establishing intangible encountering mechanism.
As a new media artist, Nui's works have been featured in international and domestic exhibitions, such as the short film competition at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands, Pixilerations in the US, the Aguilar International Short Film Festival in Spain, Tours Asian Film Festival in France, ARTchSO Video Festival in France, Beijing Summer Digital Entertainment Festival, VAFA International Video Art Festival in Macau, It Takes Four Sorts: Cross-Strait Four-region Artistic Exchange Project, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, Taipei Arts Awards, Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition, and Taipei Film Festival. This exhibition showcases a new, experimental work specifically created for the MOCA Video, Art Windows and the museum's outdoor exhibition space.
